Now Bioware makes a game (DAO Everyone) full of blood and slow motion sequences and calls it an rpg, please BIOWARE don't. Kangaxx, Firkraag, The circus tent, planar sphere, thieves guild rivalry, watcher's keep, cult of the blind, dreams, interactions with deceptive demons and more and more and more. The unexpected events, the game always surprised me almost every quest had an interesting story behind it, even "go fetch this" quests turned out to be so much more. The Liveliness, the cities, people, quests were so live. The artwork, my goodness, those 2D backgrounds are much better than any 3D scene I have ever seen. And the Tanaari You meet in the hell, awesome voice acting they sounded truly dark and deceptive, not some childish dark voice like "raargh i am a disgusting demon i will eat hour heart hahaha." which we see in modern games. I could never hate Irenicus, what he was talking about in the dream sequences were so true. The best of the best, why? It has great voice acting, and a suberbly defined villain.

I say Baldurs gate 3 mixed with Icewind Dale's gameplay, with some PS3 graphics and long, long hours of story line and gameplay. Example, Panzer Dragoon on a PS3 or 4? Don't boost the graphics, instead add to the already immaculate story and you would have a masterpiece with gawking eyes at every corner in disbelief. So, quit F'ing it up and go back to the old days, make a PS3 game look like a PS3 game, but play like the old. Any RPG you can beat in a week or less is not an RPG or you don't read or listen to the story line, which in turn makes you a moron. :) Oblivion was a good game, but as comparison to BG? Graphics was better, but gameplay? No way. Scenario 2&3 are in japanese EXCEPT someone has turned it to English for me. LOL And yeah, I got it on my PC, but with extras.

I want someone to put Shing Force 3 on the PC or Newer system! Or at least do a Shining Force 4!! Spent all my childhood days on that game. Icewind Dale 2 was more favorable for me. BG2 was astounding in a story line, however, as far as gameplay, I agree with last poster. I have all consoles on my PC, the ones that I own (NES, SNES, Sega Genisis, Saturn, playstation 1&2, dreamcast, N64, Gamecube, all handhelds, etc.) BG1 was fun. It works wonders if you feel like complaining though.Your all entitled to your own opinion and since my PC is custom built, by me, and I own alot of games pc and consoles, I have the best PC games period. It not for either Gothic fans nor Arcania fans. Standalone Add-On (which continues right after the main story, leaving you completely in the dark as to what the hell you are actually doing unless you played the main game) Import your character from ArcaniA – Gothic 4 or choose a predefined archetype (import your fully levelled character, or start the game with an identical new one because of the almost non-existing RPG options)
