Being the chosen one elected by the king himself through one of your dreams, you embark on an adventurous journey to free him from the hands of the evil duke and go down in history as the kingdom’s greatest hero. Let me know if I have missed some tell on what the final boss would be, or if it is just that one should always be prepared for anything and not chain too much apparent goodness together.About This Game In an ever-changing world, heroes are the only constants.ĭark times are imminent: the king’s abduction throws a once peaceful land into turmoil. Might drop this for now though and move on to something else. To be fair, up to this point, I have beaten the first 3-4 levels for all six characters without much of a challenge. Anyhow, tonight, right before I was finished I just wanted to look up some cheat, but didn't.

Going from near full health to dead in an instant without the gargoyle visibly attacking. In Dark Souls it was also more fair in this regard, but there I probably spent even more time grinding and learning and re-attempting the gargoyles until I was hit with what I assume was a bug when I was just about to deal the finishing blow. Many were the deep sighs seeing Time Eater being boss 3 after having gone for an infinite or shiv deck, but then you have a whole act to try to rebuild and might even have a slight chance of winning at the end even if that fails. Sure there are similar situations in e.g. There was exactly zero chance of beating the game, having seconds before felt more powerful than ever. Naturally, part of the struggle of these type of games is to fail and by that to learn and not repeat this mistake of buying into too much synergy, because this was the best I have had. Scathach, immune to freeze and lock, so I could barely do anything before it was over. Then the game pulls out a new boss out of it's ***. Finally I would advance to the boss and beat that darn level. Also I feel like there's a lot of alarming text dumps about the interface early on that I thought were needlessly overwhelming.

Deathloop is bumming me out a bit because it's trivially easy and getting tedious only a few hours in. Looking forward to God of War next month and Elden Ring the month after (and potentially STALKER 2 in April but as an OG STALKER fan I'm not convinced they can pull it off).Īstalon is really great- it frequently gives you that nice metroidvania feeling that you're smart because you were clever with abilities and opened up a new path that you shouldn't be able to access yet. And I also recently ventured into DJMAX Respect's online modes, so I'll be playing that this month. I also couldn't resist Deathloop for $25 at GMG, so I'm playing that too. One of these that I'm currently working through is Astalon. Era is passionate about a handful of games that weren't on my radar before, several of which I've purchased and added to the backlog. This month I will try not to buy anything else.
